Welcoming our engineers

On arrival, engineers are welcomed by 3 departments so that become familiar with the way we work, and get to know the key contacts with whom they will maintain an ongoing relationship. These departments are :

Human resources department
Technical department
Quality department



Supervision of engineers

From the time they are hired, engineers enjoy supervision of both their personal and technical needs. This careful attention follows them throughout their career with Coframi.

COFRAMI has its own philosophy which ensures that engineers, within a long-term working relationship, will progress in their field and build on their experience with the wide variety of projects and assignments that they will carry out.

Engineer training

Training is a particularly important concept at Coframi. It is company policy to make the fullest use of the budget allocated each year for training purposes.

Every Coframi engineer has a technical dossier which is analyzed before the end of each project; the aim is to draw up a report on their skills from a general point of view, and with regard to the next project which the engineer will be working on.This enables Coframi to prepare for any particular skill requirements before each new outsourcing or turnkey project.

Two alternatives are then possible:

Training is provided

The engineer is entrusted with a mini-development project (or study) monitored by a training manager and finalized via a Skill Acquisition Report.

The engineer's technical dossier is then updated. This method allows each specific field to be learned in depth.

COFRAMI engineers can therefore rest assured that they will remain up to date on the latest technological market developments.

Our services

COFRAMI offers the following range of services:

Research and development: telecoms, radio-communications and networks, system software, image and signal processing, real-time software, airborne and ground systems, simulation, software engineering, process control.

Software quality assurance: definition and implementation of quality plans and product assurance plans, project quality tracking, configuration management.

Assistance with project implementation and supervision: project management, planning, systems integration and validation, maintenance and overhauls.

Maintenance in operational conditions and upgrade of application-based software.

Quality-oriented services

The COFRAMI group realized from its clients that quality was a key discreminating factor among IT service companies, and this trend was confirmed among engineers who are, rightly, very demanding with regard to the companies that wish to recruit them.

In January 1996, COFRAMI obtained ISO 9002 certification for its outsourcing activity in industrial, technical and scientific computing. Awarded by international certification body the AFAQ, this certification covers all the Paris-based and regional sites.

In April 2000, COFRAMI obtained ISO 9001 certification for its research, design, development and integration of turnkey projects.

In 2003, COFRAMI moved to version 2000 of ISO 9001.

A CMM (Capability Maturity Model) procedure was then launched to consolidate experience and feedback in software development. Level 2 of this improvement process was reached in 2002.

Our Quality System

COFRAMI's Quality system is based on simple principles: to make sure that clients' needs are perfectly understood, and take every step to successfully accomplish the service in line with the client's expectations.

Our quality system is compatible with most development and project management standards. It was designed to adapt to the requirements of our clients, and meet specific market standards (aeronautics, space, transport, etc.). It has also been designed to apply to different types and scales of services.

ISO 9001 certification (obtained in 2000 and renewed in 2002).

ISO 9002 certification (obtained in 1996 and renewed in 1999).

ISO 9001 certification version 2000 in 2003.

Co-opting and membership of GIFAS: French Aeronautical and Space Industry Group (Member of Executive Board: Equipment branch, as software equipment supplier).
